August 16, 2025 - At SupportiveLiving.ca, we are fortunate to have incredible community partners who continually go above and beyond to make a difference. One such partner is Wainfleet Church, whose commitment to supporting residents at Lakeside Terrace is nothing short of extraordinary.
On Saturday, August 16th, we were treated to another of their amazing BBQs, an event that is quickly becoming a beloved tradition here. Wainfleet Church has been a constant presence in our community, offering their generous support through Easter and Christmas dinners, Thanksgiving feasts, New Year’s Eve gatherings, and of course, summer BBQs. These events not only provide delicious meals but also offer a sense of connection and belonging to our residents, who are always filled with gratitude for the love and care shown by the church and its volunteers.
Heather Osborne, who leads this incredible effort, has been the driving force behind this unwavering support. Her passion and dedication to helping others are truly inspiring, and we are beyond grateful for her leadership. Heather is supported by an amazing team of volunteers, including Linda, Howie, Rico, Flo, John, Beth, Marsha, Tennyson, Graham, Howard, Ron, Jen, Fred, and Rick. Each volunteer plays a vital role, from preparing meals to engaging with residents, making each event a heartfelt and meaningful experience.
We feel incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful collaboration with Wainfleet Church. Their ongoing support helps our residents feel seen, heard, and appreciated. At SupportiveLiving.ca, we believe in the power of community, and having partners like Heather and her team makes all the difference.
Our residents are constantly reminded of the kindness that exists in the world, and these events are a testament to the strength of community spirit. Every meal shared, every conversation had, and every moment of connection reinforces the idea that we are all in this together.
