Monday, Feb 3, 2020 - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our resident, James (Jim) Warring. He passed away peacefully at Woolcot Wing in Welland Hospital.
”15 years ago when I began SupportiveLiving.ca with my first house in Welland, James was one of the first four residents that I housed. He was a misunderstood young man, full of life who needed an outlet and a supportive environment to express himself without being judged. SupportiveLiving.ca provided just that,“ Vishal Chityal, CEO, President and Founder remembers.
James lived in many of the SL residences throughout the years, most recently at Beatrice Manor Supportive Living Residence. He was best known as an artist and visionary. He expressed himself through many mediums including drawing, water colours, acrylics, poetry and song writing.
SupportiveLiving paid a tribute to Jim with a breakfast at Beatrice Manor for staff and residents.
“I knew Jim for many years and he was one of my best friends,” fellow resident Nathan Panagabo reminisced. “We were all so sad when we learned he passed away.”
On behalf of the SL staff and management, we offer our condolences, and thank Jim’s family for helping us celebrate his life together.
Rest in Peace, James.
